We apply methods from operations research on topics such as optimizing resource allocation for airlines and airports (fleets, crews, offered, average ground capacity). These applications are likely to improve the efficiency of the operational management of companies and attract the air operators' interest .
The issues selected generally have a dynamic character that leds to the development of decision systems in loop close to automatic control schemes and heuristic solution methods.
Operations Research also provides essential tools for the quantitative resolution of problems related to the pricing of transport services and air traffic management, management of environmental problems (airport noise) and air transport security (optimized management of used resources). so, collaboration with the ENAC Economics laboratory and the Security Unit will be promoted in the coming years.
